Kate Wellesley is a homeware brand specializing in textiles and wallpapers. Established in 2022, it began as a collective for fabrics and wallcoverings from independent designers worldwide. Over time, Kate has introduced her own designs which have been block-printed by skilled artisans in Rajasthan, India.
Focusing on statement patterns, playful prints, and colorful palettes, the designers we represent are globally recognized and we have worked on some prestigious projects since the brand's launch.
Since childhood Kate has had a strong fascination with textiles. Born in South Africa, Kate moved to the UK in her early twenties and studied Interior Design at KLC in London. She worked for the interior designer Alidad Mahloudji before moving on to the renowned wallpaper company de Gournay where she stayed for just under 10 years. Her love of interior design, and in particular textile design, is informed by her early years in Africa, her travels in Europe and her interest in the history of textiles and design. Kate's extensive experience in the industry and her passion for textiles make her a valuable resource for anyone looking for expert advice on interior and textile design.
Kate lives in Hampshire with her husband Gerald, two daughters Eliza and Chloe and indomitable terrier named Bob.
